Being a local, family oriented company in a sea of shady craftsmen can be challenging at times. However, it’s ultimately how True North Remodeling came to fruition. We set out to change the way that homeowners view our industry by implementing best practices and being transparent with not only our customers but staff as well. With that being said, integrity is a main component to our foundation here at TNR, so it was only right that we made a conscious effort to gain our accreditation with the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
What does it mean to be an accredited business with the BBB?
Well, first you should first know that the BBB is an over 75 year old organization that became the first of many “Vigilance committees” of Advertising Clubs established to eliminate fraud advertising. As years went by they evolved into what is now a highly respected non-profit corporation dedicated to creating a marketplace where buyers and sellers trust each other.
The BBB uses an accredited business system to assign rankings to individual businesses, charities, and nonprofit organizations. When a business is accredited by the BBB it means that the BBB has determined that the business meets their accreditation standards which include a commitment to make a good faith effort to resolve any customer complaints. They store data about companies and use dispute resolution procedures in order to safeguard both the business and the people they serve.
BBB Standards for Trust include:
To us, accreditation with the BBB shows our devotion to putting our best foot forward with every single job that we take on. Their standards hold us accountable and allow for better interactions with every new customer we take on. BBB accreditation coupled with our MHIC license are just two of the many ways we back our business to show consumers that TNR is beyond committed to not only the work we do but also the relationships we cultivate.
